Commercial Roof Replacement in West Knoxville
This West Knoxville company was needing a new roof so they called Smith Roofing.
Initially toying with the idea of a metal roof, the building owner decided to stay with a traditional shingle after receiving Smith’s good-better-best quote. He ultimately went with a TAMKO Heritage architectural shingle over Tuff-Rib metal because of its cost-effectiveness and limited lifetime warranty. A win-win.
To start the project, all the old shingles were stripped off, and new decking was installed in any damaged areas. Then we installed synthetic underlayment across the whole roof and ice and water shield in all the valleys. This, combined with starter strip and hip and ridge shingles, means that roof leaks would not be a worry. Everything was capped off with new Lifetime boots and a continuous ridge vent system that will keep moisture and temperatures where they need to be for long shingle life.
