Siding Installation Across Knox County and East Tennessee
Most of our siding work happens within about 45 minutes of our Knoxville office. In Karns, Hardin Valley, and Powell, we see a lot of 1990s and early 2000s vinyl that has gone brittle and chalky after two decades of summer sun, and homeowners there usually weigh a full vinyl replacement against stepping up to fiber cement. Farragut and West Knoxville lean toward Hardie board, often paired with new trim and soffit work while the crew already has the house staged.
Older neighborhoods need a different approach. Fountain City, Bearden, and South Knoxville have homes where the original siding is covering up problems worth finding, so those projects start with what is behind the panels. Our Sevier Avenue project is a good example: the porch and framing needed attention before a single course of Hardie plank went up.
Outside Knox County, we cover Oak Ridge and Anderson County, Maryville, Alcoa, and Seymour in Blount County, Lenoir City and Loudon, Sevierville and Kodak, and west into Roane County. The Harriman project was a full exterior with vinyl siding, gutters, and a new roof handled together, which is often the practical way to do it when a house needs more than one system replaced.
Lake and cabin properties around Norris, Douglas, and Tellico bring their own conditions. Constant moisture and heavy tree cover are hard on siding, and fiber cement holds up better than vinyl in those spots during the winter.
