Repairing Roof Leaks on Watts Bar in Harriman TN
It was a stunning home nestled on the beautiful Watts Bar Lake. But it had one ugly problem, a roof leak. And not just any leak. Water was coming in right above the bed in the master bedroom. Obviously, this needed to be fixed, and fixed fast!
The homeowner reached out to the team here at Smith Roofing for an assessment. After a thorough inspection, the leaks were found to be in the roof well under the windows.
This, coupled with the fact that the rest of the roof was nearing the end of its life with shingle degradation, led the homeowner to decide it was time not just to make necessary repairs, but to replace the whole roof.
Wanting the peace of mind that comes with top of the line materials, the owner chose an Owens Corning Duration dimensional shingle with its limited lifetime warranty. Coupled with the Smith 25 year warranty, she would feel comforted for years to come. Not wanting to deviate from the home’s existing style, she went with a similar color, Driftwood, as the home already had.
During the installation, the Smith Roofing team installed premium water resistant products like synthetic underlayment, new flashings, and Lifetime Tool silicone pipe boots. Where the original leaks were, they installed super tough EPDM rubber membrane to make sure no more water finds its way into the home.
The new roof looks great and protects even better.
