Roof Leak Repair on a Lenoir City Home
The homeowner of this beautiful home in Lenoir City saw wet spots on the bedroom wall after a strong spring rain. Immediate action was needed, starting with a call to Smith Roofing & Exteriors.
Our team did a thorough inspection of the roof and attic and found the source of the leak at one of the gables. We also found cracked shingles, granule loss, and general staining. The roof was clearly past its useful life and more leaks were likely not far away.
Since the homeowner wanted to keep the home for the long term, they chose a full replacement using Owens Corning Duration shingles in the Peppercorn color. This kept the same look while adding strong protection with its Limited Lifetime warranty. We removed the old roof, fixed damaged wood, and added new flashing at all transitional locations. We installed RhinoRoof underlayment, starter strip, Lifetime boots, and then the new shingles. We also suggested that they add new 6 inch K style gutters and EcoGuard gutter guards to keep water under control.
The home now has a dry attic, fresh wood, and a clean look that fits the Mahlon Place subdivision.
